Natural and manufactured stone facing for fireplaces, kitchens, columns and walls, with the look of solid stone and less weight.
Stone veneer gives a structure the look of solid stone without the weight or the foundation that solid stone needs. It is the finish of choice for outdoor fireplaces, kitchen islands, column faces and the sides of raised planters.
We install natural thin stone and manufactured veneer over properly prepared block, concrete and framed substrates. Details like corners, flashing, weep screeds and caps are what make veneer last and look right, and we handle them as carefully as the stone itself.
Natural thin veneer is real stone cut thin and has unmatched variation. Manufactured veneer is cast and colored and can be lighter and more economical. We show samples in your light so you can choose.
Veneer needs a solid, clean surface and a moisture plan. We install lath, scratch coat and flashing as needed, and detail the base so water cannot sit behind the stone.
Ledgestone, fieldstone and cut stone patterns each produce a different look. Dry-stack styles use tight joints, and mortared styles have a fuller joint. We lay out stone to avoid repeats and awkward seams.
Veneer needs very little care. A gentle rinse removes dust, and a sealer is optional. We recommend inspecting the base and flashing once a year and keeping soil and mulch away from the bottom edge so moisture does not wick up.
