Interlocking pavers on a heavy-duty base: a driveway that looks like an estate entrance and can be repaired one section at a time.
A paver driveway changes the character of a home. The pattern, the border and the texture give an entrance depth that a plain slab cannot match, and the surface is designed to flex slightly under load rather than crack. It is also repairable, which matters for a surface that gets dug up for utilities.
We build paver driveways and motor courts with a deeper base than a patio, herringbone patterns that lock under traffic, soldier-course borders and drainage planned from the street to the garage. Details like curved aprons and contrasting bands make the entry feel designed.
Driveway pavers need a thicker compacted stone base, often eight to twelve inches, and sometimes geotextile or a stabilized layer on soft clay. The base is what carries the traffic, and the pavers are the wearing surface.
A herringbone pattern interlocks in all directions and resists the pushing and twisting of tires. Other patterns suit walkways and patios but are not recommended for the main drive.
Concrete or heavy-duty edge restraints keep the perimeter from spreading. Combined with polymeric sand, they keep the driveway tight, flat and tidy for decades.
Keep a small stack of the same pavers from your installation. If a utility line or a repair ever requires lifting the driveway, matching units are on hand, and the repair disappears into the pattern. We store a labeled pallet or leave it to you in the garage.

Usually yes up front. They are repairable, flexible and available in many styles, which is why many homeowners choose them.
A properly built base and edge restraints keep the surface stable. Very heavy or frequent loads may need extra base depth, and we plan for that.
Yes. Use a plastic or rubber-edged blade and keep it slightly above the surface. We give you tips at handover.
Pavers lift out, the repair is made and the same pavers go back, leaving little trace.
Sealing is optional but helps protect color and joint sand. We advise by material and use.
