Paver Cleaning and Sealing

Deep cleaning, joint re-sanding and sealing that restore color and protect pavers and stone from stains and weeds.

Pavers and stone collect dirt, algae, oil and tannin stains and slowly lose the color they had on day one. A professional cleaning, fresh joint sand and a quality sealer bring the surface back and protect it for years.

We clean patios, driveways, walkways and pool decks, remove stains where possible, replace joint sand with polymeric sand and apply penetrating or film-forming sealers matched to the material. We choose finishes that look natural or add a wet-look sheen, as you prefer.

Cleaning properly

Pressure washing alone can scar a surface and blow out joint sand. We use appropriate pressure, surface cleaners and treatments for algae, efflorescence and oil, and rinse thoroughly before sealing.

Joint sand

Polymeric sand locks pavers together, resists washout and discourages weeds and ants. We remove worn sand from the joints, refill and activate it so it hardens correctly.

Sealer choices

Matte penetrating sealers protect with a natural look. Film-forming sealers add color enhancement and a sheen but can be slick if overapplied. We recommend by material and use, and explain how often to reseal.

Prepping for events

A fresh clean and seal before a big gathering, a closing or a new season makes a patio look its best. We schedule around weather because sealers need dry conditions and mild temperatures.

Questions

Cleaning and Sealing FAQ

How often should pavers be sealed?

Every two to four years is common, depending on sun, traffic and the sealer.

Will sealing make pavers slippery?

A matte sealer does not, and a glossy film can be slick when wet, so we choose by location.

Can you remove oil stains?

Often partially or fully, depending on age and type. We test first.

When can I walk on a sealed patio?

Usually after a few hours and furniture after a day or more. We give exact times for the product.

Is cleaning needed before sealing?

Yes. Sealing over dirt or algae traps it. We clean and dry thoroughly first.
