Irrigation Installation

Zoned sprinkler and drip systems designed for your lawn and beds, with smart controllers that water only when needed.

New landscapes need water to establish, and mature ones look better with consistent watering through dry spells. A well-designed irrigation system delivers the right amount to each zone and wastes none on pavement or the street.

We install residential irrigation systems with rotary and spray heads for lawns, drip lines for beds, rain sensors and smart controllers. We design zones by sun, soil and plant type and put the lines in before sod, pavers and planting, so nothing needs to be torn up later.

Zones by need

Sunny lawn, shady lawn, shrub beds and vegetable gardens have different water needs. We design separate zones for each, with heads matched to the area, so all plants get the right amount.

Drip for beds

Drip irrigation puts water at the root zone with little evaporation and runoff. It is ideal for shrubs, perennials, trees and raised beds, and it saves water and helps prevent foliar disease.

Smart controls

Weather-based controllers and rain sensors adjust schedules to conditions, saving water and money. We program the system and show you how to adjust it. Backflow prevention is installed as local rules require.

Seasonal startup

Each spring the system is turned on and checked for leaks and head alignment, and each fall it is drained. A quick adjustment of schedules through the seasons saves water and keeps plants healthy.

Questions

Irrigation Installation FAQ

Do I need irrigation for a new lawn?

It makes establishing sod or seed much easier. Hose watering works for small areas.

How do you winterize a system?

Lines are blown out in late fall to prevent freeze damage. We offer instructions or service.

Can you add irrigation to an existing yard?

Yes. We trench carefully and repair the surface, and boring under paths avoids cutting hardscape.

Will irrigation save water?

A well-designed system with smart controls usually uses less water than hand watering.

Can I control irrigation from my phone?

Many smart controllers offer phone control, and we install and program them.
